Objection: Election would be against the will of God to try and save the lost

Election does not mean that it is against the will of God for us to preach and try to save the lost. We don't know who the elect are. We preach the truth of who Christ is and in God's sovereign work, the elect become manifest. It is through the preaching of the gospel that God saves people (Romans 1:16). God uses Christians to preach and call to those whom He will grant faith (Philippians 1:29). Therefore we can trust that those who have been appointed to eternal life will believe (Acts 13:48).
